Project Memory is a Claude skill for tracking project state. It benefits operations teams by automating project state tracking, reducing manual effort, and improving project visibility. It connects to project management tools and workflows.
git clone https://github.com/SpillwaveSolutions/project-memory.gitProject Memory creates a memory infrastructure in your project with four organized files: bugs.md for tracking issues and solutions, decisions.md for architectural decision records, key_facts.md for configuration and credentials, and issues.md for work logs. The skill configures CLAUDE.md and AGENTS.md to make Claude Code and other AI tools memory-aware, enabling them to check existing solutions before proposing changes and document new decisions consistently. This reduces manual effort in tracking project state and improves visibility across coding sessions by maintaining institutional knowledge in standard engineering documentation format.
Install via skilz (pip install skilz, then skilz install SpillwaveSolutions_project-memory/project-memory), or manually copy the skill to ~/.claude/skills/ for global use or .claude/skills/ within your project. Navigate to your project and invoke /project-memory in Claude Code to initialize the memory infrastructure with templates.
Prevent duplicate bug fixes by maintaining a searchable bug log with known solutions
Document architectural decisions and rationale for future reference and onboarding
Track project configuration, credentials, ports, and URLs in a centralized location
Maintain work history and completed tickets linked to project context
